The president of my local Mazda enthusiast club drives a "Blazing Copper" (as Mazda calls it) 2004 Mazda6. She special ordered it brand new in late 2003, with the 2.3 four-cylinder, leather, a 6-disc CD changer, heated seats, and a five-speed manual. Last week, the car crossed a big milestone.
The only items that have had to be worked on are the A/C (getting recharged this week), the clutch, and the steering rack. The rack didn't fail, but at 280k it felt sloppy as hell and quite unsafe. Of course, motor mounts and things like that have been done, but those are weekend afternoon items that she normally takes care of herself. Pretty cool. I've ridden in the car several times, and it is as smooth as can be.

Cool! My dad has a burgundy Mazda 6 Wagon. It's pretty cool although he said the rear spark plugs were a royal pain.

She actually doesn't have a garage, haha. She sent me that pic. Can't remember where it was taken.

Haha, then it appears that she drove into a hotel and set up shop in there judging by the carpet.

That seems to be a popular opinion on here, but I haven't seen it to be true around me. My car is rust free and so is this one.
