here in rouyn-noranda, quebec, there are 2 old unimogs. One that is parked in front of a garage for the past year, and the second painted black was driving around this morning with the top down. We were going up a hill at 45-50 km/h in a 90 zone.

404s have the giant Benz logo and round lights close to the body edge. 406/416 series have a smaller grill and fluting next to the headlights.
Obviously, both are echter cool.

I would have to say the 404, but didn't see the mercedes logo. and he had the windshield down. could it be ex-canadian military?

Mogs on the road always make me smile. Such neat vehicles. I'd love one, but the low highway speeds are a deal killer for me. Here's Mog-man's on-street parking in my neighborhood:

Maybe, but a lot that are out there are ex-Swiss. The Swiss military had hundreds that they released to the private market en masse some years back.
