I used to own one of the items that was a proponent to an anti-Jalop:
It was a traffic signal, designed to either impede your journey or to help you (mostly to impede). And before you ask why it is not working, said signal has been sold (Art of the flip, y0. Bought for $5, asked a friend to go pick it up for $35, sold it for $90) and here's why:
Upon opening one of the segments, I knew the device was far too gone.
The terminals were effectively corroded
The inside walls were crusted with salt deposits
The light bulb for the yellow segment was permanently stuck in the socket and the bulb itself was no longer attached
The red glass lens was cracked and costs a fortune to repair/replace (replaced with LED unit)
Paint was chipping
One of the visors was out of shape
Do I regret such a purchase? Well.... No. It was a unique item in a way and it would have made a good talking piece in a man cave but in its current state..? Considering I had to ask a friend to drive me up to Bellingham to pick it up... Yeah. I regret it.
