Okay, maybe this isn't the best example of Dubstep, but it just played on the radio lol:

Dubstep isn't my favorite genre by any means, but it's really been getting my attention these past couple months, and is kinda growing on me. I've noticed, though, that almost all TV ads have Dubstep in the background now.

Anyone else have thoughts about it? Wish it would just stop already, or hope it comes to replace Rap as the leading Genre in modern Pop? Or do you not care because you just listen to Country?

I haven't listened to a radio in years and that was the classic rock and metal station so I tend to avoid trends like these...

I studied video and audio production, and to me dubstep and any DJ electronic music sound as background music, I've never liked it but I can picture what kind of scene I could use it.

I enjoy some electronic music. Not a fan of a lot of the dub step stuff. Also don't know Any of the 600 singe res that people flip shit about when you call trance-jig-trip-techno- step due step so I couldn't tell you what it is I lean toward

Can't say it's really my thing, but then again my thing kinda ran from the 70's to the 90's, so that's no surprising at all...

I don't listen to it. It sounds like a God damn symphony of power tools and banging trash can lids together.

I don't care that much for dubstep really, it's mostly just annoying samples being repeated for 4 minutes, with irrelevant stuff going on. I'd honestly prefer hardstyle over it. There are exceptions though. Modestep and Knife Party are among them. Some of Skrillex's songs are okay, like the Dog Blood stuff he's doing with Boyz Noize.

Stuff like this works:

I started into electronic music through dubstep (Flux Pavilion, Bassnectar, Nero) and branched out into more complextro/house/pop (Porter Robinson, Audien, Zedd, and Madeon is by far my favorite musician right now, can't wait for his freaking album).

*pssst* (In that field, it's ALL background music and like cheap prostitutes, is something you use to get where you're going.)

I'm more of a Trap and Electroswing kind of person, but I loved Knife party (look up centipede and bonfire) a year or so ago.
country is awesome too!
