Last week I ran across a 1985 Ferrari 288 GTO at a local repair shop in Tucson, AZ. It was a one-owner car (1 of 270 built). I took some photos but had to promise not to post them. So here's a photo from the internet. This was easily the rarest car I've ever encountered outside of a car show.
Here's an old R&T article for fun

Edit: fuck it, have a photo of its ass

My favorite Ferrari. I saw this one at Road America years ago. Gorgeous.

I used to go to Ferrari of Denver often, mainly to see what was in the shop. That was my first sighting of an Enzo. I should take my son down there some time to check the dealership out again.

Was it at Dearing? That means we have a 959 and a 288 GTO here. Damn.

The cars that come and go there... I've seen some nice ones as well.
I have seen this around town though: http://tucson.craigslist.org/cto/4548889674…
I would imagine the one you saw at Dearing was a real one. =)

No, it's another meme around these parts how all cars look like a civic (or an accord, I can't keep these things straight).

so you're saying that Civic looks like a Civic? that's a silly meme

That was definitely the one Dearing. - very classy. Every time dad takes the Mercedes in for service, I pick him up. The Mercedes is for sale right now. Perhaps because it is costing him so much to have it serviced at Dearing. In the near future I'll have to find another excuse to stop by.

If you're curious as to what kind it is, I'm pretty sure it's a 328. It's definitely not a 355, and I don't think it's a 308 because I don't see a black front bumper.

Love the 288. Second to only the F40, in my mind. Good to see that one is out being driven!
