My 1996 FZJ80 Landcruiser crossed the all-important 200k point! I've had it for the last 74k and it's been just wonderful.
To mark the occasion I got some new LED interior lights and I'll be taking her in this week to get new belts and fluids.

Where did you get your led lights and do you have part numbers? That mod was on my short list. Also, Stoked to see another fzj80 on here, I tag my cruiser stuff with "cruisin" for easy reference on all things cruiser and you are welcome to do the same, or not. Either way.

Sweet! I usually just leave the interior lights off because they suck power like crazy.

Cool. I am only like halfway at 117,000 miles.

From what the guys in the IH8MUD forums say, these are pretty incredible.
It's summer now but when the long winter nights and overcast Seattle days come back I'll be needing some better illumination.

That's the "just broken in" mileage for these Landcruisers.

I'm there all the time for tech and DIY stuff but I almost never post, my rig isn't interesting enough to warrant posting about.

Oh I don't drive anything as nearly as cool as a landcruiser. I am aiming a to a 200K miles goal for my car, a wonderful crapbox the 2003 Cavalier.

That's nothing. Mines got 260,000 miles and counting! I'll have to look into these LEDs. My dome lights are pitifully dim and I usually just leave them off.

You have alerted me to my alarming lack of photos I have of it.
Here's one from the day she got her new 285 tires:
And squeezing into a Compact spot.
It's Nightshadow Pearl Blue, an AMAZING color when clean, and fairly rare, only 200 in that color in 96, another 200 in 97 and that was it.

Thats the color I wanted. Sigh. I actually looked at one in that color but it had more miles than mine, no lockers and they were asking almost twice what I paid for mine. I love that you are in the "compact" spot.

I've got the Lockers, along with the CDL switch mod. Snow and ice are minor concerns for me with this thing.
Someone said that less than 10% of FJ80's have the lockers, so I'm guessing mine is fairly rare given the color.
I picked it up for $5400 about 4 years ago with 130k on it. It was a one-owner rig with a file of records 2 inches thick. I lucked out.
Needs new leather, front crank seal, and the valve cover gasket jobs done. The leather kit will be more than a few months away but the mech stuff I'm getting done bit by bit over the next couple months.

mine needs the new leathers but the engine and axles are up to snuff. You did luck out, I paid the same for one with 226k on the clock and had to go right to work replacing the cooling system.
