Wishful thinking and effective stereotyping is all I can see here. You might not believe this, but there's lots of little delays in Germany.
//edit: I could see "Drive 100h w/o breaking any rules", though. :D

Bus simulator? In Germany?
Should be Tram Simulator, or Subway Simulator.

There really is a sim for driving a city bus. Sad

Yes, there is...
And my fellow Germans love those sims...

I just don't get it. After a long day of work why do simulated work. Then again I would probably play the farm or train sims.

I don't play those games myself and although those sims are mostly bugged and cheap-looking I can see their appeal.
I don't want to confirm any stereotypes about Germans yet I think there's something deeply calming in simulating simple work. Players like to optimize their "strategies" and skills to be punctual and efficient. Maybe they are getting small rewards out of it they are not experiencing while working at their regular job where they don't see the results of their work. Or they just like to "hoon" around after a long day with rules and regulations.
I love the first Test Drive Unlimited for the same reason. I just drink coffee, listen to music and - sometimes even slowly - cruise around on the island in order to "not think" and escape reality - not because I'm unhappy though, don't get me wrong - for an hour or so.

Hard to say but I would say you are on the right track with this line of thinking. I know why that is why I play games like the Sims or SimCity.
