So, I found this on Craigslist late late late last night. I am interested and wanted your opinion. Its a !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! with 214,000 miles. Car got backed into, and has some dents and scratches (shown in ad). Owner wants you to make him an offer. KBB has it in good condition at around $1900. Think he'd take around $1300? Looks really clean and I like this body style.

Damage from here looks rather minor honestly.
Really clean leather interior. Looks comfy too!
So what do you think he'd take?

Offer $1500.
$1300 seem a little too low if it still runs well.
Other than the bit rear damage, it looks great though.

I'd offer a $1000 in person and go up to maybe $1200. The bumper bar might be damaged behind the cover and it could've tweaked a few things.

Looks nice enough, never driven one though so wouldn't know. Everyone on here who has an e36 seems to like theirs though, not sure if anyone has a 328 specifically. It's worth a drive if you have the means and like the look of them.

the E36 is a solid car with an I6. The reality is though that no BMW is going to be cheap. Even when initial purchase price is low, the maintenance will be pricey and somewhat technical. That being said, this is probably safer than an E46 in terms of overall reliability.

With that mileage, damage and transmission, it's worth much less.

Really? I'm not an expert on values, so ignore me.

But it's not a wagon or a Volvo!
Good grief, both of you .

i know! I just saw that and was cracking up!
Its not a manual, not a wagon, or a volvo. But I can't find nice looking Volvos for that price.
But if I get it I might not be happy.
But people love these things. I may break some rules.

My main thought, that damage is not in a place that can really be fixed easily if PDR doesn't work... The wrinkles suggest PDR is not a choice.
$2000 for a car without any mechanical issues is a good deal, period. A car you like, even more so. I think I would offer 1200 and expect to meet at about 1500. At least if it were a manual :(
