My video card supports 3 monitors. And I happened to have a couple spare ones lying around.

I'm sorry, what was this 'outside world' you spake of? This is my reality now.

A hodge-podge gaming rig I've slapped together over the past year. It's none too impressive, but it plays Skyrim with a bevvy of graphical mods and therefore I'm happy, hahaha.

My work Lenovo L440 supports dual monitors plus the laptop screen. Three screens is the best number of screens. Erryone in the office is so jealous :)

So.. Both DVI/VGA ports and the HDMI? I gotta try this if that's so.

Not quite. I have an ATI video card and they're a little different. While it does have 2 DVI ports, an HDMI port, and a Displayport and those can be used in any configuation for 2 monitors, when you want to hook up a 3rd monitor, you have to use the Displayport connection. Since very few monitors have a Displayport connection, that means buying an adapter. But the cheapo $10 adapters won't work- you have to get an 'Active' adapter, which is AMD Eyefinity verified, and those start at $30 for a Displayport-to-DVI.

I actually forgot about Eyefinity. maybe it's because I've never owned an AMD card.

I love the price-point and stability of AMD cards, but they can be a little...esoteric at times.
