Well I had a pleasant chat this morning when a colleague stopped me and told me she wanted to see me.

She went on to say three years ago she bought a burgundy coloured Citroen 2CV as a 'run about' but stopped working after a few months. Two years later she's decided to get something done with it and was talking with her son about getting it cleaned properly when it's done as the body is looking a little tired when he told her I enjoy cleaning cars to relax. So has asked me to bring back some life into the old girl.

So I'm really looking forward to it.

Have some of what I was up to for a few hours on wednesday (in between nightshifts) on a nine year old Jaguar X-Type.

Interior was thoroughly cleaned but the leather needs to be deep cleaned and treated which will take a few more hours and go through the engine bay in more detail.

Well, if you're ever in London, there's an E30 needs a good clean... :)

Don't tease me. I've done many an E30 coupe, tourer, E36 coupe, saloon, tourer, E46 coupe, saloon, tourer. Not to mention several others.

I believe it's all burgundy. The two tone looks good though but I don't really know till I go round and look it over. Apparently the interior needs a good seeing to also. Should be good couple of days 'relaxing' to be had.

If you ever feel the need to clean a Peugeot 406 coupe located in the Netherlands, please let me know. E30 Touring might be possible too.

Again, don't tease me. I wouldn't put it past myself to do it. Lol.

Lol. This girl took nine hours. Probably the worst I've done so far.

This was three hours of washing and decon.

Kinja'd!!!

Polish 50/50

Kinja'd!!!

Almost nine hours later.

Kinja'd!!!

If it is worse than what this one was I suggest.

Well, it could do with a complete respray, to be honest. But it's not even vaguely clean at the moment, so even just a good wash and wax would improve matters greatly.

I don't think it's possible to fix the paintwork completely, but I'd love to know how good someone like that DriveClean guy could get it - not that there's much point, I'd just like to see how much difference it could make.

Actually I was just joking around before, because I assumed you live in the US, but from the picture above I infer you live in Carlisle, or nearby. That's not much nearer. Or much more civilised :)

Yep, straight up the M6, turn left before Scotland. Were mostly civilised but like most of the U.K. ad indeed the world there are a few places where the gene-pool is a little too shallow.

There is a detailing forum based here in the U.K. Called Detailing World if you want to check it out with loads of advice, tips and suggestions. There are 72,000 on the forum world wide that can help detailing on a budget up to basically remortgaging your house.

Best bit of advice, get a good shampoo, wash mitt and several buckets and work up.

But if your ever in this neck of the woods, drop the car off for a few hours, check out some local history, do some shopping and then come pick the car up.

Spoke with the lady today. It is a Charleston and she's just had a new roof fitted, so that will need to be treated also.

They're lovely little cars. I think it's simplicity would be helpful when it comes to cleaning, especially the interior. The seats lift straight out!

Easy interior cleaning would be great. I'm looking at three days to clean, polish and seal it. Though it'll be good if I can do it in two.
