2774 miles? I'm not impressed now I just think of this guy as a looser. Still, he'll make the return on his investment he wanted.

There was one at Ferrari of New England with less than 300 miles on the clock. It may be sold now though.
Edit. That one is gone, but they have this one with 514 miles http://www.ferrarine.com/used/Ferrari/1…

120 miles a year. Lame...
Average speed for all those miles is probably 20 miles per hour.
Hopefully it will be purchased by someone who will actually use it the way it was meant to be used.

Actually it's a pretty bad return. Half million new, million now. Most of that was probably eaten up in maintenance and insurance. Any decent mutual fund would have quadrupled in that time.

So he's two times a looser then? great news!

the only thing that made this ugly: the NHTSA-regulated front bumper.

Two things:
Is that really carbon fibre in the interior, or just fancy fiberglass?
The F40 came with automatic strangulation devices seatbelts? Wow, talk about futuristic.
If I had all the monies, I would buy it. It's very pretty.

Only 2774 miles and the speedo is broken? It says its going 10 MPH, when it clearly isnt moving.

Yes, the car had carbon fiber tub, with no interior covering it.
And I think that was the regulation at the time. Cars had to have either an airbag, or the automatic seatbelt garbage. Easier to fit that into the car for the stupid American rules.

Except if he bought it new for $400k, that amounts to about $830k in today's money thanks to inflation... He might make $100k off it.
