I prefer the 6, the V12 just sucks down the gas, even the HE.

Yeah, I've heard about 'THE THIRST'.
Still, I've already got a 4.0l AJ6 in the XJ40, and everyone should own a V12 at some point :)
Plus, I've got my idea of making an XJS into an E46 M3-fighter. Strip out weight until it's ~1500kg (my maths suggest it's doable), swap in a 5-speed and tune up to ~350bhp. Perfect :)

I have a friend with a convertible who stripped his V12 down to nothing and races it. It is pretty darn quick! (especially after retrofitting 2 turbos out of Volvo 850s in there and piping them in)

My dream is to engine swap it to something reliable and DD it.

I rather like the idea of an AJV8 in one of these, although personally I'd try and make the V12 work. Just because V12 :)
