Kinja'd!!!

Finally found him.

This guy has daily driven this for the past 12 years. It has a 383 that he said has had some work done to it and dual exhaust with glass packs. Sorry no video, but it sounds glorious. And it would appear he has painted it by hand with a brush.

Kinja'd!!!

That hood goes from here to America.

My man! I've debated putting a rorty exhaust on my Newport. This might convince me haha

I've mentioned that I've got a friend with a couple old C-Bodies. One being a 68 Newport 4 door HT (power steering...manual everything else, no A/C, radio delete...cheeeeapppest 4 dr HT I've ever seen). When he got it, and we brought it home it had a glass pack on it. I generally hate glass packs, but there's enough exhaust pipe on the car, and the 2 bbl keeps the 383 choked down enough, that it doesn't sound too bad.

Dad's (our) 68 Super Bee (still a 383, but different cam from what you have and a 4bbl) has glass packs from the previous owner. Do not recommend.

Yeah I just don't want to have a racy exhaust on a relaxed cruiser. Mine sounds kinda cool as it is.

It wasn't anything close to racy. Single exhaust, with plenty of pipe on it kept it down to a nice burble. Enough that it was apparent that there was a big block there, and it made a wee little bit of noise under hard acceleration, but other than that, it just livened it up a bit.

This is the only time I've ever thought a glass pack sounded good. Ever. In the history of ever.
