This is gonna be fun to watch in my area, where the massive majority of the population is very proud of their Italian and German roots.

Shiiiit... Why do people even bother with that if even I, right here in Brazil, never even heard anything about that "issue"? Plus, you'd be hard pressed to find two recent pictures of Neymar where he's wearing the same hairstyle, the kid's literally done it all.

Wow Germany destroyed them. Of course two good players were out. That knee to the back should be criminally prosecuted as it wasn't an accident or had anything to do with the playing of the game.

Yeah, I think the biggest crime Neymar has perpetuated is a mistaken belief that he should emulate David Beckham.

Then I suppose I should dye my hair blonde, as I'm white and all... Seriously though, if racism is an issue in Brazil, you can thank all the well intentioned "intellectuals" trying to solve it in the first place. Brazil is too big and too diverse to deal with racial differences in the way the Southeastern region, the richest, most influential region, does. Even the white elite schtick doesn't apply to all of the country, or all of the whites in the country. Italian immigrants, for example, were basically brought in under serfdom to work for the landowners, most of them of portuguese or spanish descent. The french and dutch who settled here were pirates and smugglers, of all things, and the germans were cheap metalworkers and prostitutes. When my family got here, they weren't welcomed with a patch of land and a batch of slaves, but crippling debt and an eventual escape to the Pampas to work in contraband!
