I'm really late in sharing my Cars and Coffee photos from Katie's on June 28. But here they are for your viewing pleasure. Can anyone identify the car in the first pic? I still don't know what it is!
Also, I couldn't resist getting a shot with this awesome Vanagon, owned by our very own McMike!

There's a red one that shows up every now and then, too.

This was actually in the back of a Jaguar Mark IX, not a Rolls. Still, Grey Poupon would be pretty appropriate.

Regarding the Shelby Series 1...I had a friend whose boss owned a Series 1. We were at the Indianapolis Formula 1 race in...umm...2001 I think? We walked past a stand outside the track where Shelby had several of them along with a continuation Cobra. My friend mentioned to one of the guys that his boss (name here) had one. Not only did they immediately know the name, but they knew where he was from and what he did for a living. Obviously that sort of thing is a lot easier with a limited production vehicle like that...but I still thought it was awesome that they remembered everything about one of their customers at the drop of a hat.

Got a "Lincoln Blackwood Log" do you?
Day 4649 - No Lincoln Blackwoods
Day 4650 - No Lincoln Blackwoods
Day 4651 - No Lincoln Blackwoods
Day 4652 - No Lincoln Blackwoods
Day 4653 - No Lincoln Blackwoods
Day 4654 - OMGSAWMYTHIRDBLACKWOOD!!!11!
Yes, I Googled when it was introduced and mapped out about how many days its been. Sad, I agree, but I did it for the bit. Seriously though, only 3,356 Blackwoods were made in just 15 months of production so it was definitely rarer than a lot of cars at C&C.

Oh MD and your dumb front license plate law has to shame the nice front of this historic.

I've seen exactly 2. One in Massachusetts. It was brand new at the time (there was a time when they were brand new?) and I got a gander at the wood bed. Come to think of it, I think the owner had the wood bed put in. Can't remember. It was awful and awesome at the same time. My first thought was "this isn't going to sell."
Second one I saw was in a junk yard about 9 years later in NC. Thus the Blackwood's legacy. Oddly, I have a soft spot for them.

We all had a tough time figuring that out. Dodge 4 cylinder, modified by Shelby and then thrown in something this outrageous. This was eventually banned from the race it was built to run in.
