One of the many things I love about my wife is the fact she wouldn't be caught dead driving a mini van. I've convinced her that a Land Rover is an awesome family vehicle, still working on the wagons though.

After witnessing first hand what having kids can do to a vehicle, I think this is a great idea. It's amazing someone didn't think of it sooner.

if it were a wet/dry vac it could come in mighty handy for emergency roadtrip bathroom breaks

I'd totally drive a minivan, particularly the Odyssey. It's an awesome vehicle that's about as useful as it gets. Minivans always get a bad rap, and there's no reason for it. They're probably the most useful vehicles on the market today, unless you need to tow a horse trailer or something.

Pretty much the only way one can have a crisis while driving a minivan.

If I were selling a Quest or something and someone was lamenting the fact it didn't come with a vaccum like the Odyssey (in super mega package form or whatever only) I'd just throw in a 12V dust buster. It'd probably work better anyway.

None of them. Hence the need for vacuum head.

We have an '03 Odyssey, and I love it. But I wonder what the suction is like on that vac. I don't think it could handle the shitstorm of debris that three boys are capable of creating. Better to go down to the car wash and put three quarters into the turbo vac.

I have a 1997 Dodge Grand Caravan and it's the best. Take the seats out and haul lumber all day, put the seats in and take a road trip. It got me through 400 miles in a blizzard, helped me move, and the sliding doors and tailgate make things really easy.

Minivans rock. I feel sorry for any larger family trying to make do with an SUV. I had to drop off my uncle and his friends to the airport in his Escalade ESV, and he had to strap the extra luggage to a rack behind the thing. Hated driving that thing. Give me a minivan any day. I'll get an old LX for snow/offroading.

My dad has a 14 Elite and that vacuum is amazing. I can clean it up without having to lug around a shop vac. I also use it to vacuum my cars.
