Here's my RX7 FC 1988 owner's manual that I found in a RX7 put into a junkyard. Took the manual for free. This was way before I had my FC.
Well when you own a rotary, you gotta at least check these before driving (spark plugs...at least each month). This is pretty cool since Mazda encourage people to check these themselves. Nowadays it's "DON'T TOUCH IT OR WE WON'T HONOR YOUR WARRANTY".
Mazda even pushed it to give you tips to get the best fuel economy. LOL.
Now that's a neat one. Really fun info, but why say it if we should not touch it? Because Racecar!
Another nice feature is the headlight that doubles as evening/morning lights.
As an audiophile, I'd love to hear the sound on these badass seats!! Only the 80/90s had badass stuff like this. :(
And the interior.
Show me your manuals and the badass stuff about them.

Crom laughs at your modern wiring diagrams. He laughs from his mountain.
Can't seem to find a '63 manual online, so here's an excerpt from '61.

Manuals back in the days were sexy! "Keeping your Falcon attractive" you knew back then that they knew how to have fun! I've never seen a jack like this before. Oh and that wiring diagram is nothing against Peterbilts...jesus it's confusing...

No owner's manual for my XJ, but I have these sweet diagnostic manuals, which get a lot more use than the owner's manual would have anyway.

My car didn't come with an owners manual...
Also, VWs of the time had two keys: One with a white and blue logo that could lock and unlock the armrest and glovebox, and another one called the valet key. The valet key is all black and can olny lock those things, although it can still open the trunk.
My car only came with 1 valet key, and I accidentaly closed the center armrest one day. Man was it hard to open it using only force, but I did!
Have no idea how to get an original key, but it would be welcoming.

in 96 had an 88. I miss it.

It's not really that well laid out, but at its core it's very simple: you may have noticed there are only like 5 fuses. Also, it calls the cigarette lighter a cigar lighter on the diagram for no reason other than possibly space.

Only 5!? Did they hold up good?

Ask a dealer. I think they can recreate the key with your vin and proof that it is your car. Just hope that the key don't have a chip in it.

I feel you...but I didn't enjoy the rotary life much. The car stayed in the garage untouched because I removed too much stuff out of it.

From the appearance of things, one was the blinkers, one was the clock, one was the backup lights, one was the indoor lights and some things, and one was an extra.

I think all Volkswagen keys have Chips in them. Still, the dealer would charge me so much for this, I can see it coming. Also, I plan on buying a $3 dollar owners manual on Amazon.

Why do I feel that these cars had a lot of butt connectors and soldering done on wires during their lifetime...

You could get one as a PDF on a Volkwagen forum. Just ask. Keep it on your phone for later use.

Distinctly possible - though I do note that the connectors used for subcomponents are good rubber-sealy types, so probably didn't short themselves. That'd probably be pure wire shorts only.

I care mostly on places where the wires just rubs on metal or are constently bent like on a door.

Cant find my manual ATM, so here's a picture I pulled off ebay.
I'm pretty sure there are tips on how to properly pass while going above 30MPH, and also how to properly drive in the rain.
And then there's the Silverado owners manual.
Nothing really interesting in it that I can remember.
And then the Vue.
It tells you how to program a compass that early 2008 Vues (ours included) didn't even have.

Ha! The lawyers made them say that.
I just love the fact that they reference the track in the manual. How many other cars have that in there?

Man, I'm jealous of your headlight port holes haha. Those are sick; I love the rx7 didn't know about them.
Thought this was funny ^.

I've seen so much Miatas with trailers....what??
![]() 07/08/2014 at 18:57 |

Yeah GM was strong on giving driving tips on their manuals. Even my father's Sunfire manual has it.

It was so blunt too: 'towing...never tow a trailer!' Haha. I have seen them with trailers too, but I wouldn't tow anything with mine.
