I think we've actually done this before - an Oppo playlist on Spotify or some such. It's been a while, though.
I'd recommend my earlier Stick Shift by The Duals, and this:

Kickstart my heart by Motley Crue. From the hair era? Yes. Overplayed? Yes. Difficult to restrain yourself if it's played loud anyway? Also yes.

I like this song by them:
I think its the most elegant use of curse words

Agreed. I have been listening to their first album a lot lately, this is an elegant use of kill words.

Linkin Park actually has a lot of good driving songs, but this is probably my favorite one.
Because obviously Metallica...
Another good one.
And here's a good slow cruising song to balance those ones out. (311 fans should appreciate this one)

Nick Hexum's album is way better than I expected it to be. Great to mello out to

Yeah, I like it a lot. It's pretty much exactly what I imagine a "mature" 311 sound would be with a bit more of a jazz/blues influence. I wanted to go see them in Chicago a couple weeks after I moved here, but they were playing on a Wednesday night and I had work the next day (also no friends to go with me lol). In hindsight, I should have just gone.

I've been trying to see them for the past 3 years, but they seem to like coming to town whenever I book a vacation...

Any genre? Ok, here we go...
Multipac - LA Nighthawk. This one's great for night cruising.
Billy Idol - White Wedding. Someone once dubbed this song over the opening scene of Goldeneye where Bond races Onatopp. It fitted surprisingly well.
Roxette - Sleeping In My Car. I remember hearing this many years ago on Clarkson's Motorworld and it just sorta stuck.
EXO-K - Let Out The Beast. I feel like if Hyundai or KIA make a V8 performance car in the future, this should be the song that accompanies its commercial.
- F.T. Island. Nice and fast paced.
On Days Like These - Matt Munro. As you see in The Italian Job, it's great for when sir wishes to drive his Italian supercar through the Swiss Alps. Just be careful of the tunnels...
Still Alive - Big Bang. Sharp rhythm means it's pretty good for city cruising.
Perfect Girls - Dream. This was the theme song used in Wangan Midnight, so obviously, it's good for a freeway thrash. There's even a "Special Driving Edit" version that's a little shorter, but I can't find it on YouTube.
Miami Nights 1984 - this album's full of good 80s electronica.
Passing Breeze (Euro Remix) - Outrun Coast 2 Coast (2006). Who doesn't like this piece of SEGA nostalgia?
Backseat Driver - Tomorrow Never Dies Soundtrack. To me, this appears to be a great song for AutoX, but it's best if the AutoX course lasts as long as the song (which is a low probability).
A Drive In The Country - For Your Eyes Only Soundtrack. Another great Bond piece, good for darting around country lanes.
