What a match on Saturday! During regular time and another 30 minutes the Netherlands goalie only had to stop ONE shot on goal. They then switched their goalie just before the end of regulation and stopped another two to get the win. The match stats are so incredibly skewed in Oranje's favor, yet it was a scoreless match in 120 minutes of soccer.
But like they said after the USA match, it's awesome that Howard did so well, but at the end of the day you don't want your goalie to be THAT busy. It decreases your chances of winning incredibly, haha.
I'll be taking off early from work on Wednesday to watch the Netherlands - Argentina game!

I've been seeing sights like this from Krul for quite some time as a Newcastle fan. I knew the Dutch had it when he came in.

Krul was majestic. He guessed the direction of every shot correctly. He said he knew how to predict the Ticos' shot direction from watching tape from their match against Greece. It certainly paid off

Haha yeah, I knew the Dutch were making a tactical decision when they switched him in right before end of extra time. WOW did it pay off, haha.

Yeah, he was phenomenal and had more shots come at him in 10 minutes than Cillessen did in 120 minutes, lol.

Damn! Dude is massive. Haha. That would scare the shit out of me if I were a Costa Rican trying to put a ball in the net.

Not sure what the average Costa Rican does in height but I suppose it's a lot smaller than us Dutchies anyway. Can't wait for wednesday to begin!

haha yep 5ft 8inches vs 6ft even, that's a significant difference of 4 inches (or 10cm).

I'm going to be taking off early for the same reason.
Because it would be poetic justice to watch the Dutch win a World Cup, beating Germany in the process.

Yes please.
They already had some justice by obliterating Spain :D
