Paris isn't as bad as people make it out to be. The people I dealt with were generally friendly even though I don't speak a lick of French. Go check it out if you get the chance.

Here are some cars that I saw, I also saw an S8, 458, and sweet Evora but didn't have the camera at the time.

Those wheels look like they belong on a 90's Tahoe with Autozone chrome portholes.

I don't even realize that, this was at the Mercedes storefront on Champs-Élysées.

It might be an early prototype since it lacks the vents before the wheels on the other GTR's, both coupe and roadster.

Perhaps it has changed, but when I visited Paris in college, I found it to be a dingy, filthy city that needed a deep clean badly.

Sure, the food is great (Baguettes are amazing), the history is phenomenal (Have you been to the Louvre!?), and it is very pretty at night mostly because you can't see all the trash EVERYWHERE.

The people were okay. No one was really rude, but you can tell that they loathe tourists, which is strange because I'd guess that at least half that city's income is from tourism. I hear that out in the country the French are much more welcoming to Americans, they still remember how we threw that AWESOME beach party in early June 1944.

I mean yeah it was dirty but, it's a big city (and it was my second time there) so I don't really expect it to be sparkling.

And they don't hate tourists, that is unless you are being an ass. I mean I went out partying 3 nights this weekend over there and I met plenty of awesome people from all around France and specifically Paris. Even Friday night we went to the public viewing of the World Cup match and I had my big German flag and someone painted the German flag on my face and I had a French dude give me a beer and wished me luck. And after the game MOST people didn't try to fight me!

I guess I just expected that Paris would look more like the postcards.

Well, I was an American college student, so while I'd like to think I wasn't being an ass, I honestly have no idea. It could also be that I was American. Most Europeans aren't big fans of 'Murica.

No idea why....

It looks like a Streetversion of the regular CLK-GTR with the 1998 CLK LM front clip:

I'm an American too, I've been all over Europe and no one group of people (in Europe) has a disdain for Americans as a whole. I have no problems telling people where I am from, it usually starts a conversation and you can learn a lot and make some awesome friends. Maybe it's just the 18 to 25 crowd but it seemed like everyone was willing to at least try to speak English and have a conversation and that has been universal throughout Europe in my experiences. Maybe you should come give it another shot.

Oh I intend to. But if I get back, it would probably to London or England again. I mean I would love to visit The 'Ring, but it's not on the list right now.

Yesterday I nearly asked one American guy to take his words back. I was visiting a nice car museum in Brussels (Autoworld) and there was one American couple "reviewing" cars. The man stated loudly that Jaguar D-Type has "that stupid thing" on it's back!

I wasn't seriously going to complain to him but it seems that he didn't appreciate one of the most beautiful car (and expensive) that was present in the museum. The girl did seem to like it though...

Maybe I should have chatted with them but I had too much photos to take and I had no time to waste. There seems to be really large amount of American tourists here so I'll try to chat with some today. Here's the "stupid thing":
