The secret is out about Cars and Coffee in Great Falls. Seriously, I get there at 6:30 in the morning, and the place is already mobbed with hundreds of people. But if there's an upside to the event's exploding popularity, it's that more cars are showing up than ever before. A few highlights from this weekend's show are below.

I love that stroller! And, of course, the Ford GT. :D

Early is right.
I was there at 6:00 last weekend to make sure I got the spot I wanted in the spectator lot.
I missed the spot I wanted by 5 minutes. While I was sitting there pouting in the space I ended up parking in, I couldn't believe the flood of cars that poured in between 6:00-6:30.
The first wave of cool cars start leaving at 7:30 or so. Some of them seriously just come for one cup of coffee, and then they leave.

If you ever do feel like making the trip, the biggest shows of the year are Memorial Day and Labor Day weekend. Those might be worth getting up at 2:00 AM for. ;)
Or better yet, drive out the night before and use hotel points, if you've got 'em.

Yeah, it's pretty amazing (and kinda painful) how early you need to get there to get good parking. I've managed to get spots in the main lot the last few weekends getting there about 6:10, but it fills up quickly.
It's also absolutely mind blowing the cars that show up and number of people. No one I have described it to really believe me and when they show up they're like :O despite my warnings...
For example, that wasn't the only ford GT there, there are normally a couple of f430s, there are so many unique Porsches and Corvettes they all blur together (like literally 40+), there were two bentley/rr corniche/continental convertibles, a seemingly endless number of either completely custom vehicles (ie the Moal) or custom hot rods, it's difficult to appreciate everything that's there. Most of the cars need little placards made up explaining what they are/their history... the stories are great when you do get them!

It's because they see the same shit there every Saturday morning and it gets old quick. Last I attended GF C&C was summer 2013. Maybe it's time I give it another shot.

Yea, I'm not sure how leaving at 2am would end up for me. lol. I would just consider getting a hotel nearby. I don't do well at 6am, much less 2am.

Honestly take it from someone who was on the road at 4am one day to drive to Vermont. Early morninng driving is the best kind of driving.

I'm sure the driving part is super chill and peaceful. It's the getting up part I'm worried about.

I have always wanted to attend one of these events. Sadly, NO ONE in Mexico does them, and most car related groups hang out at night in sketchy parts of town. Oh, and they are all riced out Sparks or Beetles. When I'm old enough I will go to the US just to attend one on my own.

Why so far away? That's easily 7 hours from me. Maybe I can make a trip up there sometime. I'm road tripping to Massachusetts the first week in August, anything that weekend?

I'll make an effort for sure. I am supposed to be leaving here Friday morning and driving straight through to make the most of my trip but I might see if there is a cheap hotel I could crash at that night to see the event. It's quite an event. Also be nice to meet some fellow Jalops.

Same Noble? :)
Can't wait to go again, I should be there first of second week in October. I feel like the spread of the lots makes for a calmer event (not much of a fan of rowdy car shows).

Definitely the same one. I'd be shocked if there were two gray Nobles that came to Cars and Coffee in Great Falls. ;)

I'll look for the guy with no shoes first! Phaeton's next! I might try to do it on the return trip. Looking at hotel rates in the area now. It's a perfect stopping point.
