I sold my Honda 200X and any/all parts I had for it today in what may be the best Craigslist transaction ever.
The transaction:
9:12am Text comes in, "You still have the 3 wheeler?"
9:20am Call comes in and goes to voicemail, "I want the 3 wheeler."
10:30am I roll out of bed and check messages.
10:35am I reply with blurry eyes that it's still for sale. And send address.
1:15pm guy shows up and buys with no bullcrap haggling.
Long story short. (I know, too late..)
I've narrowed the next project down to three vehicles. All of which I can turn a profit on. Maybe.
1. 99 Tahoe loaded and in great shape with leather and blown engine for $800
2. 94 Suburban loaded and in great shape with a blown mill as well for $900
Now the jalop in me says I need #3.
3. 77 BMW 2002 coupe in pieces. Looks clean and the interior is mint. As in mint green and complete. $900..
Ugh. Following my inner Jalop has never ended well though.
What do you think?

You will make a buttload of money on the 2002. profits for a tahoe or 'burban are low, but if you keep it for a bit you could crack 5k for the 2002.

When 2002 calls, you must answer.

Can I see the 2002? IMHO that would be the easiest to part out through forums and the like

The Tahoe, the Suburban might not sell well due to increased gas prices and big SUVs might not sell well (unless they are in your area) and the BMW might be too Jalop and awesome for you to let go. Maybe Wheel'n'Deal the Tahoe and then use the cash to buy and keep the 2002?

Yeah, I'm leaning that direction.

It's weird out here in the "heartland".
That Tahoe could fetch around $4k once sorted. Same for the Sub.
I already called on the Bimmer.

Suburbans are the exception to whatever you want to say about SUV sales. I'm pretty sure even laws being passed to force all cars to electric/hydrogen/alternative fuel would still leave a suburban on sale with a gas V8. It would find a way.

Step 1) buy the suburban.
Step 2) Repair the suburban
Step 3) Sell the suburban
Step 4) Buy a 2002.
