To replace my aging Palm Pixi and it is not compatible with my Verizon unlimited plan. I need to replace this Pixi fast it has rebooted on me twice today for no apparent reason. Any one know of a solid Verizon 3g phone?

Why do you only want 3g?

In order to upgrade to 4g I'd lose my unlimited plan.

I believe that'd leave me with the exact same problem.

I was looking into that one. I have a SG3 right now and don't want to go to the 5.
Have a clear case in my amazon shopping cart waiting for me to pull the trigger on the phone.

Honestly, just let go of the unlimited, man. I doubt you get any where near the data cap anyway, especially only with 3G. I hardly use WiFi, stream podcasts and music any time I'm in the car, watch YouTube videos, etc and I very rarely come close to my 5gb cap.
Sticking with these old, terrible phones just isn't worth it for the "idea" of unlimited.

You can't have them just not activate 4g?
In that case pick up any unlocked Sprint phone which will be able to get on Verizon's CDMA network but not their LTE (Sprint and Verizon use different LTE bands but the same CDMA).

The problem is that our home internet is Verizon. We have 5gb of data on a 4g jetpack. If I change our plan the best I can is pay $30 more for 2gb total data. Right now I have 5gb on the 4g jetpack, unliminted on my phone and 5gb of 3g hotspot on my phone.

I'd be interested in that. Does it have hotspot capabilities?

Nope. It is either sat with daily caps or 4g with a soft cap. Meaning I can use all the gb I want it just costs me more.
