Found out it was not a tacky badge from eBay, but the old Olds logo they affixed to Final 500 cars (which I assume are rather rare cars). Not bad looking at all really, the small details that were changed for this edition are quite nice: seat logos, vintage olds logo badging, different wheel center caps, etc.

(which I assume are rather rare cars)

There are 500 of each model Olds from 2004 that are this edition, so yeah

Let's take a moment to analyse what you had in parenthesis, shall we? Final 500 cars...by default...are rare. Seeing as there were only 500.

I always thought it was just done on the Alero, Silhouette, and Bravada, but it turns out the Intrigue and Aurora got Final 500 editions too for their last years. The Aurora, at least, is one I wouldn't mind owning.

Me either, but I prefer the 1st gen Aurora by a lot.

I find I enjoy redundancy since it brings me joy.

That sentence. It makes me laugh. But I also want to edit it. A lot.
