Here's a bunch of photos from the Granum (Alberta, Canada) Parade and Car show. There were some pretty sweet looking rides there. They had a small parade, then a pretty good sized car show. Really quite impressive given the size of the town (~500 people).
I mostly took pictures of trucks. A few months ago we needed something moved that was too big to fit in either of our cars. We ended up getting a relative who had a truck to help us out. Up until then, I'd been wanting a project car. Now, I want a project truck.
This guy is my favourite of the whole show. It had original paint on it. My wife liked it as well. She now totally understands why I'm after something old, yet still usable. She really liked the original paint on the doors. If anyone ever sees something like this guy for sale, please, let me know.
Here's a bunch more pics:

That's a pretty good turnout for such a small town (according to wikipedia 447 residents). The Fort Saskatchewan AB car show was a bit of a let down compared to years past especially with a population of over 22000.

That was a truly impressive show. What a diverse bunch. Been to Edmonton, Calgary and Red Deer. No doubt a trip there if ever in the area. Canada Day weekend, I assume.
That old truck with the updated interior and engine really got me. Ideas flowing from that one. The Falcon Gasser, you don't see many of those anymore. Great dump. Thanks.

Yeah, it really was quite the show. I gather that it's an annual thing on Canada Day. It started off with a small parade that lasted 15-20 minutes. There's also an interesting little museum there, with Canada's only all-wood jail cell from the turn of the century.
That one truck seriously has my ideas flowing as well. I love the old look, but modern things. I think it'd be cool to update a truck like that with LED headlights, a modern engine. Maybe even something with a hybrid drive train like the BMW i8 or Porsche 918, albeit much smaller.

Are you up in Ft. Saskatchewan? Cool. Good to see a few more Albertans on here.
I generally find that there's a lot more automotive enthusiasts in Edmonton than there is in Calgary, although I think Lethbridge tops both of them.

Yeah, it should be good. This'll only be the second one I've ever been to, but if it's anything like last year's....

We think alike on that.

yup I'm in Fort Sask (originally from Moncton, NB tho). I went to the 780 Tuners show a few months back and it was loaded with cars (well over 500) so you might be right. I have never been south of Calgary so I wouldn't know about there

#Tractorlopnik?
I really need to button down and write an article about modified tractor pulls. Every year or two, I shoot photos for the guys who do it in my home town. They are the friendliest bunch ever, and some of the machines they have are absolutely insane.

Do it. I love that stuff.
