This hose is broke on my 03 wrx, outlined vaguely in the picture. I can't find it on Rockauto or know what it would be under to search for it. If anyone could find it that would be awesome. Either Rockauto or amazon would be a good place since I have to order other things along with it. I could spend $100 on an ancillary hose kit but don't really feel like it. Possible names for this hose include: Passenger side crankcase vent, Passenger side crankcase breather tube? It goes from the crank below the coolant reservoir up to the hard lines in front of the intercooler.

Edit: Pics are hard to come by But I will drop a few here that may help.

Working on it. Really hard to find a picture of this thing that's buried underneath a bunch of other shit when you don't know what it's called

From your description it sound like some basic vacuum tube would cover it. Still holding out for better images. Does this help at all?

Is it leaking any fluid? I think the power steering is down there in that area. I had a front mount on my wrx and had more visibility from that angle, so I can't really tell where that thing goes. Shove your phone down there and try to snap a pic?

Or suck it up and ask NASIOC. They're nice in the newbies section and they'll be especially nice to someone who is nutting up and fixing his own car.

Or park the car, rip the hose off, then get a ride and bring it to autozone to get a replacement hose.

I'm not sure if basic vacuum tube would work since it has quite a few weird bends around parts. I have tube but am afraid to try it if it doesn't work and then I'm running around without the tube at all. I put a couple of pics up. Might have to go to the parking lot and take some myself.

It's definitely for crankcase ventilation. No fluid other than maybe some oil every now and then. I was just worried with the bends in the hose about using generic tube from autozone or wherever. Nasioc… interesting people.

Just go with the basic vacuum tube, It looks like a camshaft vent tube is all. if you find a part number you could get one from the dealer pretty cheap im sure.

PN should be 11815AB400. Hose Assembly PCV A. Should be under 40 bucks from a dealer, or an online site.

Yup, I second going to NASIOC. I'm certain they'll be able to answer you. You'll probably get an answer in under ten minutes there. Their boards are crazy active.

Damn. Expensive. Maybe I will just try bending some generic vacuum hose.

given its proximity to the turbo (and the heat produced by it), and the fact that it has an extra bit of insulation around that part of it, i'd be a bit wary of a generic piece of tube...but thats just an assumption on my part.

Yup. There will be people with 25 posts calling you a noob piece of shit for not searching, but whatever. Some people are helpful.
