That stupid HP laptop I was working on... the video card scrambles itself after a few minutes. When it doesn't, the whole machine freezes up. It's from 2007 and my aunt has a newer machine now, but... just annoyed that it's a complete useless pile of shit.

My wife's former employer issued her an HP laptop (this was a few years ago now).
It sucked .
It more than sucked.
It, as Homer Simpson would say while mocking Ned Flanders, " suck diddly-ucked. "
etc.

You think that's bad ? Try dealing with my custom computer that I sunk $2,000+ on.

HP has become the new E-machines.
This is why I stick to mah Thinkpads.

I hate computers. Cars are so much better.

The last Gateway I had was a Gateway 2000 Pentium 133MHz with 32mb RAM and Windows 95 desktop in the mid-90s.

I don't hate computers; they just annoy me extremely because they age so quickly. Cars, on the other hand, are timeless.
Personally, I get more satisfaction by concentrating my efforts on a machine that provides tangible, physical enjoyment rather than spending time/effort/money on a fancy media player. I like high performance computing (I run quantum mechanics simulations on my University's cluster), but the rewards of personal computing just seem kind of silly to me.

Well...
First time I had it assembled, $1,200 total (AMD Phenom II X6 1100T, Powercolor AMD Radeon HD6850, Asetek 510LC, Corsair Dominator 8GB (4x2GB), ASUS M4A8TD-EVO)
Ended up sinking $900 (Old case was Thermaltake V4, New case set me back $340 when it was launched, $560 was spent on a new, custom liquid cooling setup.)
