Gas Monkey Garage's custom 1965 Chevrolet C-10 pickup truck driven by Richard Rawlings , the owner of Gas Monkey Garage in Dallas, Texas is the Official "Pace Truck" for 2014 . The race starts at 8:00 AM Mountain Time. You can watch it live here:

It's been a busy !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! in Colorado Springs leading up to the race and the 92nd running up America's mountain looks to be very exciting, minus one truck that had a nasty accident.

The race up the mountain was augmented by the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! this year. It was well attended and should become a fixture in the events leading up to the race.

I realize it costs money to setup for streaming the action, and wouldn't mind paying if I had all day to watch it. I only have 20 mins or so. I wish they had let redbull stream it again this year, even though they had issues last year.

Well to be fair, last years stream was almost impossible to watch without crying. I've never been able to watch this in Europe so I might give it a try even if it's expensive.

Thats Goodwood. Pikes Peak should of done the same. Glad I didn't pay now, people are reporting problems with the stream after spending $20

I kind of get them charging for the stream. I have never been there but I am guessing there isn't much room for spectator seating. They have to make money to support the race somehow.

When I think Gas Monkey........I think that garage belongs in Manitou Springs! They would fit right in with the local culture.
Maybe Richard is in charge of the live pay link......me I went there when it was a real race ON EFFING DIRT/GRAVEL! Only real men dared brave that road in those days!

Otherwise the stream will just play.

In my opinion, it should be live on NBCSports or something. It'll end up being a cheesy edit job aired on TV in a few months. I wish the stream were better.

There is room for spectators and they sell plenty of tickets only, and tickets + camping passes. The prices are in-line with the event. The streaming is just away to diversify their income stream as not everyone who is interested in going to Pikes Peak can make it. I applaud them for offering it, something F1 could learn from, but I think it is a little steep especially if there are issues. For $30 I used to stream the whole Tour de France live or replay any stage on demand.

I found a workaround for the paywall, just open the website in a private browsing window or incognito window and you can stream for free.

Worked kind of sort of for me. It let me bypass it for 15 minutes, but then I got hit with the paywall anyways. What a disappointment, even the paid stream has advertisements.
