Hey guys, we all have a fun road that we love to drive on. How about we share a google maps pic of that road/ those roads. Or a better aerial pic of you got one.

Here's one of mine. Benoit Rd, Benoit Wi. Four 90 degree or more turns, It's farm country which means everything is flat and you can see around the corner from a half mile away. Plus most of it is fairly new smooth black top.

Kinja'd!!!

And the other

HWY 169 Mellen WI.

Lots of hills, and valleys, cambered corners, opposite cambered corners, gently slopey corners, tight 90 degree corners, blind crests leading to corners. It's actually a very dangerous road to drive quickly on, plus it's a 25 minute drive from my house, but it's too much fun to pass up.

Kinja'd!!!

And before I moved away from Rhinelander Wi, this was my favorite road. South Shore Drive Rhinelander Wi. It only takes about a 2-2.5 minutes to drive if your doing it quickly, and in my 99 Civic there was only one spot I could get over 70mph(which I usually didn't do). but man is it a fun road.

Long link below, hope it works. I like to start off in Morrison, CO, and take CO-74 up through Kittredge to Evergreen. Then in Evergreen, I take CO-73 south to Conifer. When I reach Conifer, I go under US-285 and take Pleasant Park Road to Deer Creek Canyon Road, and end up near C-470 and Kipling. It's a nice long drive, with lots of twisty roads and great views.

EDIT- Link no worky, here's a screen cap:

Caesers Head in SC. Ride up the mountain to an overlook with some amazing views. Ride back down. Repeat.

That is awesome. I'm planing on renting some sports car, probly, no hopefully, a Boxster Cabrio when I turn 25, and I have friends that live near Denver. Maybe I'll get to take this drive.

Not a ton of great roads in SE Louisiana, but this road was always a good time when I used to live closer. I don't recommend blasting through the first time, as after about 9 miles, you abruptly enter a sleepy little town.

Kinja'd!!!

Another great road is Rodney Rd in Rodney, MS. I'll try to get a map pic of it.

It's actually in Port Gibson, MS. On the same road is a great little spot to stop for a picnic at the Windsor Ruins. There are a ton of roads in the Port Gibson/Vicksburg area that are fun.

I grew up in the very North of Germany. In fact, you can already see Denmark on the map below. And in Gelting were I lived we could see Denmark across the Baltic Sea from our kitchen window.

There are many rural roads to choose from, but a favorite of mine - and many bikers would agree with me - was always the old road between Kappeln and Flensburg. The newer B199 which is slightly north of it was build over old railroad tracks. It's therefore a straight and fast route - allegedly you can easily cruise at about 80mph on it, I heard...somewhere. It offers some scenic views over the landscape and the Baltic Sea. So if you want to travel fast, use this one.

But if you want fun and engaged driving you take the smaller and twisty two lane road. Lots of tight bends and various speed limits give a diversified experience. The traffic during the summer is a problem though because motorbikes and tractors constantly demand your attention.

After looking at Google Maps, I have determined that both of the roads I think of as good driving roads are really barely tiny bumpy curves on otherwise long straight Texas roads. My world. It is shattered.

I don't know exactly where you're at. But there are some decent roads here. Way better than my last home (Minnesota) but nothing like my home before that (nothern Alabama/Tennesse) I shed a tear whenever I go back to visit family. It's so unfair

This is all abandoned subdivision that no one ever goes into. My own personal little race track.

Kinja'd!!!

Then that long straight road that runs adjacent to the highway is where top-speed runs can be done.

North Central Texas...hill country, but the hills are in reality few and far between. Most roads here were designed around property lines, and so they tend to be long and straight. The best one (that I've located) nearby, and by nearby I mean nearly an hour away, strings together about 5 medium speed sweepers, and is paved maybe once every 2-4 years, so it is bumpy as hell. There is one near my house that is deserted most of the time, as nobody lives along it and the towns it connects now have a highway that takes almost all the traffic, and it has a long sweeping 90 followed by a 2 mile straight, followed by 3 50-70 degree s curves, and then it ends at another road. Good for getting a feel for a car and doing a top speed run on the straight, but otherwise not much to write home about...and frankly embarassing compared to some of the other roads posted here.

Most roads here were designed around property lines

That is how a lot of rural Wi roads are to, they built the roads around the farms. That is what made the first road I pot with the four tight 90 degree corners.

but does know one really care that your there? like if a cop drove by would they even bother to stop? I love abandoned place that know one cares about. When I was a kid we hung out at what we called the SSP "secret skate park" it wasn't even close to a secret. It was two concrete foundation slabs on a dirt road that nothing ever got built on. Kids came an built sketchy skate ramps out of anything, and everything from quickdry cement to couches, and EVERY ONE brought spray paint and tagged it. Rumor had it that the owner still payed taxes on the land and was happy that kids were using it.

Nope, no one cares that you're back there. Some of the roads are barricaded off though.

It is a pretty badass picture.

Red Viper and a early 70s GM personal-lux coupe smashing through a house.

I'd like the Fast and the Furious movies if they weren't so dumb, but there are a couple of are cool/cheesy/bad-ass wish-you-could-actually-do-that-in-a-car moments.
