...for 260Z 2+2s. Stock they look a little ungainly, but modified they look great. The roofline at the rear looks excellent too.

Old Z's are the best old Japanese cars ever

I've never really liked the styling of the 2+2, but that one looks great with the color combo. I'm actually going to check out a 240Z tomorrow afternoon! Can't wait.

I'm inclined to agree with you, although there are plenty of close runners. Hakosukas are pretty excellent, as are 2000GTs :) then there's the whole second tier of excellent old Japanese cars. Things like early Celicas, RX-3s RX-4s and RX-7s, Cosmos, Bellet GT-Rs, 510s. Tons of kickass machines :)

Zs are probably the cream of the crop though :)

Sweet :) hope it's a good one.

It's the extended wheelbase that knocks the proportions off a little, but that's really helped by the wheels and arches. They're not the best looking, but I'm a big fan of that kink in the rear roofline rather than a full fastback.

I completely agree. Love the old RXs and even the rx8. And since I own a Celica I love them too. They have a pretty good racing history. But Z's are just the best looking to me lol

I was just behind one yesterday, and the first thought I had was, "Man, those things are tiny. " Bumper-delete and flat black looked pretty good, but the loud-as-possible exhaust didn't do the car many favors.

They look great... if there's no 2 seater nearby to compare it to.

Next to a 2 seater, it's more like...

However, they do look a lot better than the 280Z 2+2s. And in the end, it's a Z, so at least they have that going for them.

Personally thats the only view of the 2+2 I like. It shows a bit of KPGC10 in the roofline and 1/4 glass. otherwise, no thanks

But would you take it over a 240Z? The Z we are working on should be on the road tomorrow.

I don't think I would, no, but considering the price of Zs over here it might be an option.

Cool stuff about the Z being roadworthy tomorrow :) what plans do you have for it, or will it stay original?

Well the original engine is rebuilt and has triple Webos, new 5 speed, brakes are redone but the rears are still stock, all bushings replaced, glass seals, dash, carpet, seat belts, cut out a little rust in the dog legs and put a new skin they make over it so its like new. In fact the frame there was reinforced so its stronger now and has drainage so it won't rust again. It needs a little minor body work now, repaint the tail light panel and little things like that. Have to take the ugly parts off the bumpers so they look like the euro models. I will do an update one of these days and take some pictures. It will mostly be original, there is a BRE spook air dam thats going on.
