Woke up late for work and called to let the boss know. He said, "since UPS is on your way do you mind stopping there? We're waiting on a few kits."

Aftermarket leather interiors. The ones you highlighted are Honda Accord and CRV (right) and Nissan Altima and Rogue (left)

This is part of why I like mine so much. Moving the seats up gives a surprising amount of space in the rear footwells.

Serious question. .. we are considering getting a newer soul to replace our Honda Pilot (we dont need the huge space or the shitty gas mileage any more). Honestly what do you think of the car?

Mine is a 2013 1.6MT. It's a good car with lots of space (nice upright seating and good room in the back), good fuel econ (I manage about 30 in mixed driving), and dat warranty. Interior is inexpensive, but especially on the base models it doesn't try to masquerade as being upmarket. It's cheap in a different way I guess. Ride is pretty decent, although it got a little harsher when I moved from the steelies to 15" alloys. The 1.6 is adequate for average use, but don't expect to have much power for passing on the interstate. The manual is nice, with a decent bit of feel after break-in. The automatic is... passable. It's got a slap shifter if you decide you need to pass, but most people report lower fuel econ from it. However, with the automatic you get a key fob and cruise control, so there's a lot of appeal there. Standard equipment is nice; aux and ipod support, bluetooth for the phone, auto windows and locks, and a total of 6 cupholders! It also has the usual TCS, SCS and ABS nannies, but you can turn off the TCS if you're in the mood.

I don't have a lot of experience withe the 2.0, but most people report slightly worse fuel econ (27 to 28) and coming from a Pilot the additional power might be welcome.

I was about to say the same thing. Passing on the interstate sometimes requires a downshift to third but if you hang it at 80 to start, it'll maintain in sixth unless you're headed up a major hill.

Thanks for the awesome detailed response. One of my dads friends just got a newer Soul with the 1.6 and an auto. Said up north, passing was a bitch and always felt underpowered. We may need to go with the 2.0 then just for a bit more power. We love the warranty but the only major downfall seems to be that they get pricey when fully loaded.

Anything is better than the 14 we are getting now from the Pilot! And wed want a bit of options, most likely itd be the Soul+ since the ! With the whole shabang (yes, that's the new name for fully loaded) is around $26,000 and for that much wed get a Forester or CX -5 .

Really something to consider though. Thanks again!
