Dealers are actually selling these for anywhere close to asking price?

I'm willing to bet anywhere up to 3 or 4 grand is being knocked off the price.

Then again, I doubt any Mitsubishi is being sold at sticker. Unless the person buying is an absolute idiot.

Evolutions will fetch sticker price all day long. Doubt they're giving much discount on Ralliarts, too. Regular Lancers you could probably get a decent chunk off.

Trust me, an Evo will always sell for close to sticker. Every other mitsubishi? Nah, they'll be heavily discounted.

On your other reply: I'd rather take a loaded Evo over a base BMW. I drive a decently optioned (no sport package) BMW and frankly a loaded evo wouldn't be a downgrade.

You can't really find an unmolested Evo X at this point. Every one i've seen pop up for sale and some sort of modification done to it

Mitsubishi is capturing what little business they have through the subprime market. Their in-house lenders are giving out ridiculous loans on new Mitsus. For people with bad credit who have been turned down everywhere else, "you're approved!" trumps all else.

The Evo is great in the performance aspect and the amount of toys it has, but the BMW exceeds it in quality and craftsmanship by far. It might even beat it performance wise.

The dealership that I bought my Subaru at also sell Mitsu's and VW's. It's kind of sad walking in the Mitsu section of the lot. The only thing there is the Mirage in random sherbert colors and the Outlander.

The evo will however be much easier and cheaper to mod performance wise. The M235i is a great car, but for the $45k I'd spend (more like $50k when optioned) I'd rather get an E9x M3. Much more special car. The M2 will be a gamechanger though, but honestly all the M235i is gonna do is take sales away from the M2.

But yeah, the evo loses in every catagory besides performance and it's ease to mod.
