I left Northern California a few months ago and I've been worried about how I was going to get my vintage race car fix. I've been fortunate enough to attend the Monterey Motorsports Reunion each of the last five years and must say it is the greatest thing I have ever witnessed. So much history, octane, Leno, and Laguna! I'm going to check out the SVRA event at Mid-Ohio this weekend and see how it stacks up. Pretty stoked!
Good News: Vintage Races!
Bad News: It's in Ohio... friggin' Ohio.

Deeeetroit. Driving down after work today, so likely just going to take the Michigander-in-Ohio way of getting there (which would be picking my way through freeway speedtraps and getting there as quickly as possible)...

That's where all the Ohio hate comes from then. One part Michigan, other part driving crappy northern Ohio roads. All the good roads are south of Mid Ohio.

Wish I could join you...I'm only an hour away. I haven't been to the VGP weekend for a couple of years and I really need to get back there again.
In past years I've seen some great stuff...somewhere I've got some shots taken on a 35mm camera of all of them. Gonna try to scan those one of these days.
