Power Wheels F-150 has me wondering

How many people had a Power Wheels when they were younger? (I'm going to assume this applies to younger Oppos, but I don't know how long PW have been around.)

I was a GM guy even when I was 2 years old. Rocking that GMT400 Silverado.

This isn't mine specifically, but it looked identical to this one.

I went through more sets of tires on these things than any normal person should have. My dad made the electric motor make more power though, so I could slide around the street all day. (plastic tires, FTW!)

My brother had a Corvette, but that broke and was replaced with an ATV, with a trailer.

I preferred to exercise as a kid (no idea what happened since then), so instead of a power wheels, I had one of these, which was much faster.

I had a C4 corvette when I was 2, I then got a jeep that I learned to do wheelies in. My grandfather then built a my sister and I quarter scale 1934 Ford Roadsters. they had tube chassis and 5hp briggs engines. He had a show truck at the time so mine was painted and upholstered like it. his truck was named Terminator and so my little roadster was Terminator Too.

There's a screw on the gear thing, the looser it is, the faster the thing goes. At least that's how it was on the one I had.

I had the exact same silverado as you. It was my Hanukkah/Christmas gift of 2001 or 2002. I used to drive it around my neighborhood to see friends until I outgrew it in the first grade.

One of my neighborhood friends got a used one from the 80's which had a button to give it more power. I was super jealous.

I got mine in 2001 as a Christmas gift. "Santa" brought it to me.

So I guess I was 3 when I got it.

"Santa" left mine in the garage. Thinking back it was probably 2001 when I was 4, as I'm pretty sure I remember it being beside my moms 1999 Durango which she replaced the next year with a 2003 Pilot.

Ya, we grew up in the malaise era of power wheels. There's a reason I preferred My 80's jeep I got at a garage sale to my 90s jeep my parents bought me at ToysRus. Have you noticed some of the new power wheels even have rubber tires?

My nephew has a IH tractor with a trailer. He loves it. Makes me laugh cuz every time he gets going it peels out a little. It's too bad my parents had no money when I was a kid. I was the youngest of four so our toys were pretty basic. But my Dad has worked hard and had a lot of permotions in the last ten years. At least the grand kids get the toys I never did.

How ever not having a power wheel left me lots of time to ride, tinker with, crash break, and rebuild bikes. The good thing about being the youngest is I got A LOT of hand me down bikes to play with.

We finally killed mine in 2007 by putting 4 120+ pound guys on it and driving it up my sloped street. Poor motor couldn't take it. My brother ATV was finally sold at a garage sale in 2010.

I think my mom actually opted for the more powerful version of my nephew's tractor. It does have two speed settings, but my Dad leaves it in the faster one cuz my nephew is 5 now he can handle the maybe 10mph the thing tops out at with no weight. (my good for nothing sister still lives with my parents which is why my parents are so involved the my nephew.

Power wheels were around when I was a kid (born in 85) but I never had one. when ever I went to a house that had one that is all I would play with.

That is awesome. When I was little I had a Mercedes SL pedal car which I can't seem to find a picture of on the internet. Damn we must have seemed like assholes when I was little, my mother had an 88 750il v12 and I pedal about in an all metal SL kid car.
