This is probably the first game in the football World Cup of this year I'm going to watch. I'll probably be rooting for Germany considering I'm in Germany at the moment. There will be a few Americans in the room as well, it might be interesting to side with them instead to create some (acted) rivalry.

Ich kann ein bisschen Deutsch sprechen, weil meine Familie kommt aus Österreich. Sie haben in 1956 zum USA gekommt. However we're Croatian. I took 7 years in HS and college total but have since forgotten a lot. All I care about is this country. USA on to the next baby!!!

Honestly I am amazed I understood what you said. My family came from Rostok back in the 1800's. I have taken a couple month's worth of German haha. I'm happy USA is moving on, it means that soccer is being taken more seriously here. I'm more happy about the German result ;)
