That GXP is a major CP, since the SS is getting a 6 speed.

Awesome finds! I can't believe how low the miles are. CP on the GXP though. A new Chevy SS is a couple grand more, fully loaded. As a bonus, the interior is much nicer in the SS.

I think I'd get that G8 given the option. It looks better IMO and is damn near the same under the skin.

I'd actually buy that GXP over the SS given the option. I could live with the interior (which doesn't seem that bad) to have the more attractive exterior looks. And they're almost identical under the skin.

The SS is a much nicer car too. I couldnt believe how nice it was when I went and looked at them. I wish I could have those cooled seats in my Vette.

I'm not too concerned about having a warranty. It's an LS powered car. The only thing I could see going wrong is that weird Blaupunkt stereo system.

More options means more to go wrong later down the road in my eyes. The only thing the SS has over the G8 is the interior.

I promise I'm not insane.

I can't deny we had an '05 Impala that was boring to say the least, but that was fine because it was perfect in every single way in the 110k miles we had it. We have just had to rebuild a transmission in every other GM product we have had.

CP to both.

I drove a higher mileage (~65k) GT auto last summer, and the transmission was already sticking on shifts. Not only that, but you can find a decomissioned Caprice cop car (same as the G8 GT) for around 30k.

The GXP is the same price as a new one (given you find the right dealer), you get a warranty, and the interior kicks major ass. Throw in the magnetic suspension and manual options for 2015, and you have a no-brainer.

I guess it ain't that bad. Though I would need to touch the plastics to make sure I wasn't cruising in Tupperware. That price would need to be heavily negotiable. The only reason the G8 isn't worth the asking price is the fact that the SS exists, if it didn't, I feel like the GXP would be in the same situation as the 1M and it would be kinda collectible and coveted.

A just out of break-in period G8 or a used and abused Caprice? I know which one I'm picking, and it probably hasn't had a criminal in the back seat. Caprice is a bit bigger.

My Blaupunkt was replaced (under warranty) at 35k miles for an issue that may or may not have been a phantom, and has been brilliant for over 80k miles since then, even with modifications. The radio is a silly thing to worry about, since it can be so easily upgraded in the aftermarket if it does get that bad.

The only thing that's worse about it is the interior, which I literally give zero fucks about as long as the seats are comfy and the steering wheel feels nice in my hand.

CP Allllll day long on that GXP. They're rare, no doubting that. But that car has too many miles on it to be new in the wrapper and traded from collector to collector, and not enough miles to want to drive it. Plus, no warranty. Not a chance.

And I lurv the G8. Thought about getting rid of the Vette for one a last summer when I found a killer deal on a GXP.

The GXP would have been NP if the SS wouldn't have come out. Looks like the dude held on to it thinking in a few years he would unload it for tons. Too bad GM rendered it nearly worthless.

Nice price on red, crack pipe on black. You can get an SS for the price of the black one. And NP on the red one because its basically an SS for $12k off.
