Apparently, people I used to know from the volvo community are pretending they're a still in high school because I got rid of my Volvo.

I ain't even mad though, have a pic of my "Sporty deathtrap"

*I never once said that the cube was sporty, just has less body roll than my XC70 did, which is true.

Kinda hilarious how mad people get over nothing that concerns them at all.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, if Volvo had a cheap, utilitarian, fuel efficient car aimed at the youth market, I would've considered it. But they don't and for my price range, the Cube is great.

Granted this thing is sooooo much easier to drive, especially around town, that I wouldn't want to go back.

If you're going to drive a Nissan Pube, you have to really own it. You can't just drive one like a normal car. You have to let every other motherfucker on the road know you have a boxy ass little car with a man-mat on the dashboard, and you won't take any shit because of it. Better yet, paint it with a Martini livery and take it rallycrossing every weekend.

I did, and left any/all volvo groups long ago. That's why I say my friend sent me this (he's an old college roommate and owns a volvo/lurks on those sites). Which makes it even funnier.

That was the big joke when it came out in 09. Still makes me giggle once in a while. There are some automotive forums that are alright. The Cube forums have been pretty humble with people who accept the cube for what it is and just have fun with it, for instance.

I know that, it's why I don't have a Volvo anymore. I needed a cheaper car that was semi basic and that's what I got but with a few bells and whistles. Hell the XC70 is as close as Volvo really got to being utilitarian.

If I had a manual V70R, I probably wouldn't have any complaints and would've kept it. But the XC70 is just nothing special.
