It could probably be saved, but the owner likely smells and the cost of a new interior might total it out.

Ooh look, my home state (Ohio) and the state I'm doing my coop rotation in (Indiana). I dislike them both

Yep. This car is certainly Ohio country-ass mod.

Apparently, it's registered with the DMV as a Chapparall 2-Fuckall

Honestly, the interior was the least of this car's worries, dude drove by earlier and had one of the scariest engine knocks I've ever heard. It was like someone was hitting his block with a baseball bat.

There's a dealership just outside of Kent OH that has a Fiero with a kit on the front end to make it look like an F355. I keep thinking I should get a pic of it to post here, but I really don't want to stop there.

You should drop by just to hear the salesguy try to sell it to you. I can't imagine what he'd say, it's gotta be a pain in the ass selling a stock Fiero, much less a modded one.

This poor car needs to be bought CHEAP, stripped down to the space-frame, and re-built properly.

Mid-engined affordable cars are too rare a thing to waste on this kind of mistreatment.

I'd buy a tastefully modded one, no problem. Some of the Ferrari bumper kits out there actually work very well on the car.

That just means it is a good excuse for an engine swap. Quad-4, 3.4 DOHC V6 from a Lumina Z34, Caddy Northstar DOHC V8, or a later-model transverse LS V8, 3800 supercharged, and other supercharged or turbocharged engines all have been put in those cars, and all engines that should have been considered for that car from the beginning... at least the ones that were available in the '80s.

There are even subframe kits, if you extend the space frame and outer bodywork skin a bit, that will allow longitudinal drivetrains, rather than transverse.
