I actually might know where to procure one... though I'm not sure the owner is ACTUALLY selling, just "thinking about it"

Looks like the paddle tires mud boggers use on the rears in the top picture.

They are so cheap!
My old man hunts for SLC deals and hoards them.
He thinks they're gonna be worth something one day, lol

You can still find deals on running cars that need a lot of TLC
He got one for $700 once a couple years ago

He loves hunting CL, lol. He'll go anywhere in the country to get the car if he really wants it.
He also has a couple M-100 engines. One of them is in an SLC! He wants to add forced induction and make it a monster.

6.9
It's so big!
The engine and transmission are over 1000 lbs, lol

419 cubic inches of German muscle. I have driven a few 6.9's and the hustle that thing puts on a big 450SEL is amazing.

I wonder how much it would cost to supercharge it
He wants to go twin turbo but that's way too complicated

yeah to supercharge it would probably be easier. Just wondering where he is going to put the plumbing. That m100 must FILL the engine bay. 560 is packed in enough
If only EssExTee could be so grossly incandescent

yeah it does full the engine bay!
He probably can't do it in that car.
He has a 450SEL he could do it on.
Don't let yourself get addicted to 70s Mercs like him. There are too many for sale. You'll never stop buying them. There are cars he didn't even want that he bought cause "they were a good deal"

I have had my fair share, it is still one of my favorite genres of car. I will probably end up with a 124 coupe though if anything. Just a little more modern

You have the addiction!!
The great thing is how plentiful the powertrain parts are. The engines and transmissions were shared across so many models

Yeah they last forever!
That was back when Mercedes made cars to last longer than their owners, haha
