Very nice. What year?
My dad has a '69 427 that he's owned since new. Desperately needs new paint.

I took my Mustang to an impromptu meet Saturday night and parked next to a '69 427 car in black. The S197 makes it looks rather small.

Awesome. I'm not enough of an expert to tell apart the '68-'72 so I didn't dare guess.

no. I see a parking line under the car. The only excuse for that would actually be if it was because other cars forced that bad of a parking job. Shit like this is ruining America. "awww, shit Clem, nobody's around, just park it over the lines." I don't mean to get worked up over it, it's just dumb.

Grabbing a quick photo of a car in a deserted parking lot is one of the few times where I really don't mind if someone doesn't feel like parking in the lines.
I can think of plenty of other things which are contributing much more to the downfall of society.

Very Nice! My grandpa is looking at a 68 427/400hp roadster. These vettes are sweet cars but can be a pain in the butt to drive

I think the continuous culture of irresponsibility among our leaders, both in the private and public sector, is doing far more damage to america then bad parking jobs in empty parking lots.

I also don't care if people park over the lines in out of the way places. You got a sweet car and want to park it in two spaces wayyyyy in the outfield of the local walmart? Be my guest.

see, I'm gonna have to disagree with you on that one. It is precisely the attitude that inspires these acts that erodes at the very fabric of our nation and begets this so-called culture of irresponsibility among our leaders. First its "no-ones around so I can park how I want" next it's "no ones around so I'll just use the taxpayers money to buy some cocaine to snort off the hood of my bitchin' stingray." Do you see what kind of slippery slope this social and moral corruption, that is parking outside the lines, causes? In short, parking on lines makes the politicians do lines.

You do know that a slippery slope is a logical fallacy, right? A morally questionable person's behavior cannot be modeled on a strictly proportionally rising line going from 'bad' to 'worse' in this way, and people make arbitrary distinctions on what they are and are not willing to do all the time. It's rediculous to assume every person will do the next worst thing because they did the least bad thing. Every litterer is a secret serial killer if that's the case.
The culture of irresponsible leadership did not begin with bad parking. It began with "As a leader of this organization, I will get rewarded no matter what, so I have no incentive to properly do my job, as I am completely disconnected from any fallout stemming from my incompetence." Why should the leaders of 'old GM' care about the millions of deadly cars they built and sold to the public, since they already got their golden parachutes and severance packages? Why should it matter that the CEO of 'new GM' gets called to congress when " ¯\_()_/¯" qualifies as an acceptable explanation? This is the lease productive congress has ever been, but they're already millionares who've succeded other millionares who've rigged all the laws in their favor anyway, so why should they care if they crash and burn the nation? Just pack up, move somewhere else, and let all those fools who brought into that 'personal responsibility' nonsense clean up the damage for you.

I thought you would have understood I was joking with you. Bringing up a slippery slope is like making a Hitler analogy. This started with parking a bit crooked. It's really not that big of a deal, I get it. Just poking the internet bear I guess.
