The new Yukon looks great. I felt that the last generation Yukon was the ugly duckling of the GM large SUVs, but this new Yukon is right up there with the new Escalade.

I like the rectilinear, slab-sided profile, but the headlights/grill are not doing it for me.

The Yukon is probably my favorite of the new SUVs. The Denali grille has too much chrome though.

The Publicity Campaign in Mexico is #EsDeHombres ir #ItsForMen. At first, I thought this was the worst thing they could do, why the hell rule out THEIR market. The ads though show that men like things classy, when they are in control of the situation, when they dont have to ask for directions, when they are prepared etc. with all the features of the truck. It was better than I expected.

Its funny because when my dad got his first GMT900, a 07 tahoe back in 07, the salesman said "these were actually designed to have big center consoles to hold a woman's purse".

YES! I remember seeing youtube videos of comparisons of Tahoe/Expedition since we were on the market, and I found a GM Video of the Tahoe in a "Exchange of Sex Day" in the GM offices. The men dressed as woman, and woman as men. The men said they were impressed that their purses could fit in the center console. They even used heels.

I agree with you 100% on both the old one (shapeless blob headlamps eww) and new one.
I saw one of these in the BJs parking lot yesterday. Black, XL Denali trim. Good looking SUV, it has a very premium look to it. Wasn't sure about it until seeing one in person, but now that I have, I think it's the best looking of the GM 3.

I personally wouldn't use half that crap. Especially the driver aids in the 4th bulletpoint.

Looking through that list, the only thing I'd want is the heated and cooled seats, which I wouldn't really need with cloth; and the keyless entry with PBS. Everything else is like conversation pieces in my eyes. This list sounds more my style:

I don't know why my parents have never bought anything nicer. When I was younger they could've easily afforded $50,000 330i BMWs or LTZ Tahoes. Priorities, I guess.

Yes!! This is like my parents too. They see cars just as transportation, so they don't feel like spending more than 40k for a car. If my parents bought the cars they could, we'd probably have a X5 or MDX, and for dad, a merc E-Class wagon, or 5 series.

Yup, that sounds about right.

My dad usually spends way more on cars than my mom though. His Silverado was almost $47,000, while my mom's Vue was only $22,000.

He tried to get my mom to go to the Cadillac dealer to look at the CTS (her dream car) when we bought the Vue, but she refused to.

Yeah, my mom had a friend which had ALS. Once she couldn't walk anymore people didn't want to take her out of the house more then they absolutely had to. It was hard for her!
