In a pedestrian way...and the police wont do shit according to the youtube page. I can only imagine being on a bike in a strictly pedestrian way and seeing a car come up in front of me, and not stop. If this is true, and Norfolk PD cannot prosecute or ticket, shame on you

It doesn't surprise me that some of the comments - both here and on youtube - are by assholes blaming the cyclist for being on a bike path, and not blaming the car driver.

The fisheye lens makes it look like she had plenty of distance, when in reality it was probably far less. Plus you have her travelling at a speed, with the car also travelling at a speed, meaning any distance that was there is effectively tiny.
Plus, knowing the width of most bike paths are about 8 feet, there was most likely only about one foot of clearance, given that the car most likely was driving down the center of the path, and I don't know about you but I haven't met an adult person who is less than one foot wide, so she had no place to go.

The cops can't ticket or prossecute? that is just plain fucking silly. Car obviously where it shouldn't be, hits a cyclist and then gets off with no punishment? Those protected walkways are to protect cyclists and pedestrians from cars. A better question is, where the fuck was the damn bollard that doesn't allow cars through?
