Not going to lie, it sounds like you're butt-hurt that he had the opportunity to stop working and go racing, and not going to lie I'm a bit jealous and wish I could drop everything and go racing like Bill did, but to call someone names because of their personal circumstances is just crass.

There's an interesting part in there.
"I'm not asking you to fund my race. I'm paying the car rental fee. I'm asking you to help me document my dream and make it even more awesome."
And from the looks of it, the campaign was around $8k short anyways, I don't see any crowd-sourcing money going towards his race seat.

I'm pretty sure there was a previous campaign that I can't seem to find the link to at the moment. In any case, he really hasn't done much. It was very naive of him to think he'd be able to make it as a racing driver without a steady source of income.

Working in the Motorsports industry, I have learned never to bad-mouth anyone, especially if you have never met them in person, respect is huge and helps your career. I will end this comment thread saying that.
