Depreciation: Sometimes it hurts your wallet, sometimes it doesn't. In this scenario, it does both. These cars have depreciated to the point just above the average cost of a new car. This means you are saving a lot of money compared to buying a new version, but you are still spending a good amount of money.

It feels strange to think that the E90 series BMW M3 was introduced seven years ago, and the E60 M5 was introduced nine years ago. However, these cars still remain potent performance cars that are able to be driven on a daily basis.

Prices:

A used M5 with 50k-60k miles costs !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! .

A used M3 with 50k-60k miles costs !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!

A used Cayman S with 30k-60k miles costs !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!

Disregarding reliability costs, which can all be covered by a CarMax warranty, all three of these cars costs about the same.

First, would you buy the M5 with its glorious V10 engine, or would you buy the balanced M3 with its naturally aspirated V8.

Next, would you sitck with your choice of a M3/5, or would you buy a Cayman S instead?
