They made an NA Miata sans antenna, and there's a $10 plug you can buy FROM MAZDA to put in the hole if you don't have one, or take yours out.
Should have known, but never thought to ask, or look, until asked.

Reminds me of my '79 Rabbit that wasn't optioned with a radio. I should've kept the rubber antenna plug & DIN-sized black plastic dash plate. Some retro hipster VW geek would've bought them.
