I literally cringed. If it was a cheap car challenge I wouldn't care, but that bad boy is $70k and was meticulously built. It's like if someone face planted an ICON FJ45.

To be honest, those crazy hillclimb rigs that folks make with huge V8's are more docile than Tanner.

Adam's method of getting up the hill is how I do it. (wheelspin included, open/open ftw lol) The long wheelbase really helps.

I like driving through deep water more than climbing...of course this has caused its share of issues in both my old Wrangler and my old Disco, since neither was set up for it really.

First time wheeling in CO I encountered deep water and I puckered real hard. It makes you feel totally bad ass though, like you're in the Camel Trophy, haha.
