what nice paint it used to be. Him and Wheeler Dealer's Mike, and Top Gear presenters, all just chilling their scratchy bums on nice cars

Ooo, Sport Evo prices are no joke. Think prime examples are trading for well over £100k. A good addition to his stable.

The jeans rivets are not ideal. But why park so close to the wall? To prove that you can do it?

Agreed. Harris recently wrote an article about prices on collector cars (exotics, e30, gt3 rs 4.0). Makes a pretty good case for the BMW being undervalued currently

Doesn't help my desire to pick up an e30 or import Skyline

Yeah, I was in talks to bring over a KC-10 Skyline until I found out my E30 M3 needed a rebuild. Had to put the Skyline on hold for a little bit.

So.... Range Rover, Ferrari FF, Ferrari 512TR, E30 M3 Sport Evo, E28 M5. Did or still does have a GT3 RS 4.0..

I still can't fathom how one auto journalist can afford all of these things.

He sold the RS 4.0 (which he has since stated he regrets, especially with the way their prices are going).

That's a bummer, that would've been a good investment to keep for a bit.

Even still, that's five very expensive cars to own. My math tells me an auto journo doesn't make enough to buy even two of those.

Maybe I'm just nosy, but I'm curious by what means he or DeMuro can afford these high-end sports cars.

Apparently it's his version of a 401k

I believe he buys and sells cars on a regular basis, and probably (hopefully) sometimes makes money (or at least breaks even) in the process. I don't think he owns all those listed cars all at once.

Obviously you have to have some serious coin in the bank to begin with, but think of it like an ongoing bankroll rather than one large investment. Trade between cars and move up the ladder in the process sorta thing. Put it this way: he will probably be able to turn a tidy profit on this M3, and most any other car he buys, if anything just for his name being attached to it.
