Arghhhh I hated this so much in college. We had extremely limited motorcycle parking, weren't allowed to park in car spots, and everyone with a broped was taking up motorcycle spots, and motorcycles were getting ticketed. Protip: If I can pick up your 'motorcycle' and put it on the bike rack, that's where it belongs.

I just want to get 10 of these and park it in motorcycle parking.

Acceptable, only because it'd be so cute and space-efficient.

I drove a 150cc Honda Elite in college. I parked in motorcycle spaces. Do you know why? Because that's where it makes sense to park a 2-wheeled motorized vehicle. Why would you think anyone should or would put a scooter in bicycle parking? It may have been 75% as wide as a bro-katana, but it's 300% as wide as a bicycle.

This sounds like less of a problem with moped/scooter/whatever drivers and more of a problem with that college's inability to properly accommodate two-wheel commuters.

We've got plenty of motorcycle parking, but I'm right there with you. Can't tell you how many times that has angered me when I'm on my "proper" motorcycle.

I try to park the scoot on sidewalks and between parking spaces wherever possible. At 130lbs, it does occupy that wierd spot between moped and motorcycle where it's likely going to piss people off wherever it is parked.

Why does your scooter go in bicycle parking? Because shit like this in my parking space was making me even later to class:

Kinja'd!!!

And I'm grouping the lot of you together because this is America, and motorcycles have more than 150ccs, and the sign says MOTORCYCLE PARKING.

Very accurate. Our moto club has been wrangling with university admin and the city itself to get more space, but in the meantime... arghhhh.

GAH. Agreed!

Where I currently park while at work there's about 10 motorcycle slips. Mopeds are allowed to park wherever the fuck they want to sidewalks and everywhere in between, and everybody gets all hissy when bikes capable of 60+ take up car spaces. I am tempted to pick them little mopeds up, and throw them off the side of the garage.

You ought to change your stance on this, most states require anything over 50cc is a "motorcycle" and has to be titled, registered, and insured. Hell, in the peoples republic of Oregon I need to have my little 49cc honda pictured above titled registered and insured (as a motorcycle).
