My friend and I were driving around aimlessly the other day and all the while he was asking me about cars. His bosses all have Corvettes so he was asking me the differences between all the different models. He's far from a car guy but he does like cars and he had a genuine interest in my ramblings, even if I confused the shit out of him when explaining the differences between ZL1, Z28, Z06, and ZR1. Understandable.
Anyway, we started talking about 911s after I said that has always been the Vette's main rival. I was explaining to him how the 911 was virtually the same from 1964 through the 993, and how the 996 was the first real ground-up redesign. Without visuals though it was sort of hard for him to grasp. Well on cue a silver 993 Turbo passes us. A minute later we pass a silver 996. Not even 30 seconds later, another silver 993 passes by. They didn't seem to be traveling with each other or even aware of the other's presence. It was just a perfect coincidence and it illustrated my point quicker than Google could have.
Have my favorite 911 for your time.
