So, here's the low down. !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! with 130,000 miles. Needs some work since there is no A/C and a leaking sunroof. But turbo wagon for about $1300 NPOCP?

Yes its seen better days. Yes it will be slow, even with the turbo. But for the price, it seems like it might be good fun. And practical. A second car is good, but a practical one is even better!

NP!

There's something very right about a beater station wagon. Especially if it is a Volvo, and below that magical $1500 mark. Also, at 130,000 miles, it is barely run in!

Seems legit. Unfortunately that engine is of the skinny rod, no oil squirters variety. Look for a 1993+ turbo and you can boost the snot out of it. I had a 94 940 wagon that looked identical to this one and it was a terror.

90 should be the first year of the thick rods. At least, my 90 had them.

I ran 17-18 psi with no issues on mine.

That's what I paid for my '93 945 turbo 5 years ago with 200,000 miles and a much rougher exterior. I say very NP. Good luck finding any '80/early '90s Volvo with working A/C, though.

Seriously though! I haven't found one with working AC! The 4 240s I looked at, this 740, a 960, and countless others... NONE HAD IT!

what did Volvo make their AC systems out of, cardboard???
